the world-leading Italian tanneries that supply global fashion houses such as
Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Tod´s, Louis Vuitton och Prada.
Italian tanneries have a unique tradition and extensive knowledge in the manufacture of high-quality leather for the fashion- and footwear industry.
All hides are by-products from the meat industry, thus making use of the planet´s resources in a sustainable way.

ENVIRONMENT
Our Italian tanneries all work towards using chrome-free tanning methods and all comply with strict environmental requirements
such as the REACH regulation.
That is a European Union regulation adopted to improve the protection of the planet and people from the risks posed by chemicals,
as well as increasing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.
It also promotes alternative methods of risk assessment and testing to reduce the number of trials on animals.
In short, REACH applies to all chemical substances, not only those used in industrial processes but also in our everyday lives,
such as cleaning products, clothes, furniture, and electrical appliances. Our suppliers all have environmental certificates and are regularly reviewed by
committees and world-leading fashion houses.
Whenever possible, we also strive to use vegetable tanned leather, which is the most natural and environmentally friendly kind of tanning method,
in terms of production and usage, and recycling.

LEATHER
We are very proud of the products we produce because we know they are made
of the best material on the market, handcrafted by kind, skilled and passionate masters of their craft,
and made with thought and consideration throughout to have as little of a footprint on the environment as possible.
The leather we use is almost exclusively calf leather which we then emboss
to imitate the look and feel of other types of leather such as crocodile, lizard, and ostrich.
Different types of leather age differently, are differently durable and should be cared for in different ways.
